But to understand why, you firstly need to know about the real cause of bacterial build up, a slimy substance that lurks unseen on every surface of your pool, including the walls, ladders, grouting, linings, skimmer baskets and pumps but especially in the pipe work. Have you ever felt slimy walls?
That is Biofilm!
For years scientists have understood that to thrive, bacteria create a layer of slime in which they shelter, feed and breed. Over time this slime increases in thickness, creating all sorts of serious additional problems. Even high levels of chlorine or bromine can only kill bacteria in the outer layer of an established Biofilm leaving the unharmed bacteria below to continue breeding. In the visible world, you could liken a 'biofilm' to a coral reef as the reef acts as a protective shelter, feeding and breeding ground for the creatures who live within. But there is where the likeness ends as a coral reef is fragile and easily damaged whereas a biofilm is self-perpetuating and extremely difficult to remove.

AquaFinesse™ must be used with an approved sanitizer of choice.
Follow our 3 Step Process:

- AquaFinesse™ POOL Water Care tablet(s)
AquaFinesse™ POOL Water Care is only intended for use in swimming pools.
These instructions are applicable if your pool water is properly balanced.
Each AquaFinesse™ POOL Tablet is sufficient for 1 week´s treatment of 5,200 gallons / 20,000 liter.
A double dose of AquaFinesse™ POOL Water Care should be used during the first 4 weeks and
during the 4 weeks prior to closing your pool.
- Ensure that the pool is vacuumed and the filter backwashed/rinsed/cleaned regularly.
- Balance your pool for Alkalinity, pH and Calcium hardness.
- Add your approved sanitizer to the pool per the manufacturer´s instructions.
- Add AquaFinesse POOL Tablets to the floating dispenser or skimmer. (see dosage calculation chart)
