The Eco Swimming Pool Heat Pumps are extremely efficient and economical and a very environmentally friendly way of heating your pool. Choose from a wide range of sizes:- 3kW; 4.5kW; 7.5kW; 9.5kW; and 12kW.
Duratech Swimming Pool Heat Pumps are available in three styles:-
- The Duratech ECO range- ideal for above ground pools and heats pools for the Summer Season only
- The Duratech range- will heat in-ground and above ground pools during an extended Summer Season, and operates down to -5°C.
- Dura+ range- will work in lower temperatures down to -10°C, for an all year round solution
ECO PUMP FEATURES:
- High efficiency coefficient up to 4.8
- Summer season model (Apr – Oct). Minimum 8°C air temperature
- Compact for easy installation
- Quiet running with low sound rotary compressor
- Low noise fan
- R407c for an environmentally friendly operation
- Titanium heat exchanger, resistant to salt and chlorine
- Precision temperature control
- Freeze prevention mode
The energy is collected from the air outside and transferred to the pool water using the same technology that is used in air-conditioning units and fridges. For each single kW used by the Duratech heat pump, between 4 and 5kW are returned to the pool as heat.
The gas used in the Duratech Swimming Pool Heat Pump, R407C, has no harmful effect on the ozone layer.
Designed & Built For Long Life & Reliability
Using high quality materials in the build of the Duratech Heat Pump and "Duranium®", an advanced version of Titanium, for the heat exchanger means it is practically "Bullet-Proof" to erosion from Chlorine, Bromine or Salt in the water. Also, the "Duranium®" heat exchanger is oversized to improve efficiency and make the Duratech Heat Pump even more cost effective and great value for money.
Easy Installation
The Duratech Swimming Pool Heat Pump is designed intelligently and exceptionally compact for ease of installation. One of the simple but handy design additions on the Duratech Heat Pump is the integrated flow switch which will sense the water flow and automatically start the heater when the pool pump starts and stop it when the pump shuts off. Simple, but very handy. Also the larger sizes, 22T and 26T, come in 3-Phase.
State Of The Art Control
The integrated microprocessor in the Duratech Swimming Pool Heat Pump monitors all the sensors and controls the device without any intervention needed by the user. Electronic display and control with easy operation is standard on all Duratech Swimming Pool Heat Pumps.
Quiet Running
The Duratech Heat Pumps use of a highly efficient, low sound compressor, a low noise fan and an oversized heat exchanger on every unit, makes the Duratech Heat Pump extremely quiet in operation. The DURA 7 at 1m distance creates only 54dB(A) and at 10m distance gives only 32 db(A).
Ecologically Friendly Swimming Pool Heating
Duratech Swimming Pool heat pumps can save you up to 80% in operating costs compared to other forms of pool heating. Duratech heat pumps can easily pay for themselves in just a few years with the operation costs savings. Duratech Swimming Pool Heat Pumps are suitable for salt water, chlorinated and brominated swimming pools

Why choose a heat pump?
Simply because it's inexpensive - to buy - to run - to install.
Realistically, in this country, all swimming pools whether above or in-ground, need heating to obtain the maximum use from the summer season. Having a pool in your garden may be aesthetically pleasing to the eye but unless the pool feels warm and inviting, the pool will not be used to its full potential. By investing in a Heat Pump, this can change!
Generally, the main heating systems available for swimming pools are Gas (LPG or Propane), Electric or Oil heaters. Some of these heaters can be beneficial from a cost point of view but tend to lose their appeal when it comes to installation costs.
A heat pump does not generate heat, it simply captures it and moves it from air to water thus, providing an efficient and environmentally friendly system for heating your swimming pool!
How Does A Heat Pump Work?
A Swimming Pool Heat Pump is a super efficient way of heating your Swimming Pool as it uses advanced refrigeration technology to capture the heat in the outside air and transfer it to your swimming pool water. It works in fact like a fridge in reverse. For every unit of electricity that you put in to run the compressor you will get approx. 4.6 units of heat out of the heat pump- so nearly 80% of the energy is FREE!
To heat your pool correctly you will need to run your filtration for a minimum of 12 hours a day throughout the season and use a solar cover when the pool is not in use.
