A stretched octagonal wooden pool can look great when sunk in to decking and that is exactly what the Plastica Stretched Octagonal Wooden Pool measuring 6.5m x 3.6m is designed for. Whilst it can be built above ground it is really best suited to an in ground installation. The wood look makes it a refreshing alternative to a steel or concrete pool, and will be much more in keeping if you live in a rural area. This model looks stunning when installed with its Iroko hardwood top rail featuring hidden fixings for a minimalist look to it. For durability all pool shell walls are made from Scandinavian Redwood.

Product Detail
Each kit comes with everything necessary to build a complete functioning pool, except the concrete for the base, electrics and of course the water to fill it with! This pool is 1.28m deep.
This new version includes the following upgrades:- a 2-piece thicker top rail complete with hidden fixings kit; under-bracing making the pool suitable for siting on a flat and stable lawn; a smoother finish to the external side timbers.
The pool shell walls are manufactured from Scandinavian Redwood, pressure treated with an ecologically safe preservative and carry a ten year manufacturer's warranty. The 2-piece top shelf is made from high quality timber including a hidden fixings kit which hides the screws by fixing to the underside of each plank rather than through the top.
A Pipework Extension Kit is also available for the addition of electric heaters or other plant room equipment.
A matching wooden pool enclosure is also available as an option for secure enclosing of the pool filtration, heating and other plant required for effective operation of your pool. Can be mounted against the pool wall or remotely.
Solar & winter covers are also options in a variety of quality grades.
Please note; if opting for the Solar Heating Kit, this pool will require five panels for optimum effect.
The liners are manufactured by Plastica from 0.75mm vinyl in plain blue with a mosaic tile band, and carry a standard five year warranty. Plain blue and patterned liners are also available.
Support braces must be used when the stretched octagonal pool is built above ground, and preferably when built in-ground, although if the pool is properly excavated and back-filled with the correct grade of pea shingle this may not be necessary. The wooden braces are most suitable for use for above ground and on a suitable concrete base. Steel Tee Braces are for bedding in concrete and particularly suited for in-ground pools.

PLEASE NOTE: The pump and filter need to be located 3.5 metres away from the pool and must be connected to a suitable weatherproof RCD-protected socket outlet. We recommend that filtration is turned OFF when the pool is in operation. We recommend a smooth concrete slab as a suitable base- contact a reputable local builder for advice on local soil conditions. Failure to set up the pool on a flat, level compact ground could result in the pool's collapse or the possibility that a person lounging in the pool could be swept out. Do not lean, straddle or exert pressure on the inflatable top ring or top rim as injury or flooding could occur. Do not sit on, climb or straddle the sides of the pool.
