Intex has now combined two excellent systems of filtration and safety into one- sand filtration and salt chlorination. This provides above ground pool owners with one low cost, low maintenance system that keeps pools clean, safe and comfortable for swimmers. Both systems are controlled automatically with one 24-hour timer to make daily operation carefree!

Sand filters have long been recognized by pool owners as one of the most desirable methods of keeping pool water clear and sparkling. Not only does the all-natural, inexpensive sand do an excellent job of filtering particles out of the water, it needs replacement only once every five years on average, making a sand filter the easiest maintenance filtration option on the market.

Pool water has to be properly maintained to be safe and enjoyable for your family and friends. For years, the only way to keep bacteria from building up to unsafe levels was to use chemicals mass-produced in a factory. These chemicals are dangerous to store and dangerous to use. Simply reading the warning labels on a package of chlorine will tell you how dangerous these chemicals really are.

The Intex® Saltwater Pool System will give you fresh, clean water with almost no effort or maintenance. Its automated system uses inexpensive, all-natural salt to constantly maintain your pool.s water in a fresh, clean, sparkling condition. And because salt does not evaporate, you don.t have to continually add salt like you do with chlorine.

And does it feel like ocean water? Not at all! Due to the low salt level (one-tenth as much as ocean saltwater), it leaves your pool water feeling like fresh, clean, soft water. Which also means that your skin, eyes, and clothes feel fresh and clean! So, when you want to spend more time enjoying your pool and less time and money maintaining it, the Intex® Saltwater Pool System is for you!

During the easy installation of your Intex® Saltwater Pool System, a measured quantity of salt is dissolved in the pool water. Salt can be purchased easily and inexpensively at pool supply, home supply, plumbing, hardware, and grocery stores.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
As part of the daily water filtration cycle, the pool water passes though the system.s electrolytic titanium-coated cell to produce sodium hypochlorite which is dissolved instantly in the water. Bacteria, viruses, and algae are eliminated while oxidizing other organic materials.

The cleaning process automatically repeats itself daily when the Saltwater Pool System is operated. Salt does not evaporate. So, unlike packaged chlorine, salt does not need to be constantly added to your pool.s water. In fact, you may never have to add additional salt to your pool! And since the amount of salt added to the pool water is only one-tenth as much as ocean saltwater, all you feel is clean fresh, sparkling water! Just look at the results after only 24 hours!
