This award-winning floor puzzle will appeal to little princesses everywhere. A large, shaped puzzle, measuring approximately 58cms x 43cms, with 40 large chunky pieces, this is a perfect puzzle for children aged between 3 and 6, especially little girls, who will love the magical theme and pretty colours.
There is an activity guide on the box which suggests different ways of extending the play value of the puzzle: you can look for pieces that have a wizard on, or a piece showing some sort of fruit. Once the puzzle has been completed, you can talk about some of the things going on in the picture: how many flags can you see? What can you see swimming in the moat? What colour is the castle door? How many toadstools are there? Is the knight above or below the wizard?
By talking about what you can see, you may even be able to come up with your own fairy stories: why is the knight trying to scare away the dragon? Why is the Magician casting a spell? The clear, bright illustration is designed to encourage hand-eye co-ordination, and the more you talk about the puzzle with your child, the more you are expanding their vocabulary and literacy skills. The puzzle is printed on thick, recycled board, with a wipe-clean surface, making the puzzle durable as well as educational.
